The Fifth International Conference and School Geometry, Dynamics, Integrable Systems GDIS 2014: Bicentennial of the Great Poncelet Theorem and Billiard Dynamics was held from June, 16 to June, 27, 2014 in the International Center for Theoretical Physics (ICTP, Italy).
One of the participants of this event was a teaching fellow of our department Kostiantyn Drach.
During the first week the attendees have listened three mini-courses, namely:
Marcelo Viana (IMPA, Brazil) |
"Lyapunov exponents" |
Sergei Tabachnikov (Pennstate University, USA) |
"Poncelet theorem and mathematical billiards" |
Vladimir Dragovic (University of Texas, USA) |
"Pencilis of conics and biquadratics, Integrability, and Poncelet Theorem" |
During the second week of the programm there was an international conference on geometry, dynamics, and integrable systems.
